Yasmin Bright is an Australian director and editor based in Mexico and the US. She tells stories about people through video, audio, and the written word, getting to the heart of any issue to find what it is that connects us.

Yasmin began her career on the streets of Sydney as a video journalist, shooting and editing several stories a day, and found that she couldn’t stop thinking about the people behind the headlines - the families waiting at court, parents who had lost children, entrepreneurs quitting stable jobs for new projects. Who are these people? What drives them? What led them to where they are now? This led her to longer form stories, engaging in the who, what and most importantly WHY.

Everyone has a story. And now more than ever, we are realising just how much connection matters.
